FBI Cleveland investigations saw over 375 indictments from Oct. 1, 2025, through Aug. 31, 2026 and according to the recently released FBI Reported Crimes in the Nation report, the national trend is clear: Every major category of violent crime declined in 2025. The decline does not mean the threat of violent crime has disappeared. More than 1.1 million violent offenses were still estimated to have occurred nationwide last year.
