In case it surprises anybody anymore, Sony's own Terms and Conditions page, makes it very clear that you spending money and buying the games does NOT mean you own the game. You are basically renting it. They make it very clear that the Buy, Download, etc. buttons you see in the UI do not purchase the game, bur rather a license to use it. To make things even worse, they reserve the right to revoke your license at any moment without prior notice. So, got your account suspended for any reason? You lose every game you ever bought. They decide they don't like that particular game studio anymore? Game is gone from the store and so is your license. Vote with your wallet, people!

Well thats not news actually (at least for me), back in ps3 era, my account got banned, ive lost all the games/dlcs/contents bought. No chace of any appeal or whatever.... one thing is not allowing the account to use sony services but the things ive bought... are mine(or not?)

Yeah, this has been around since forever on PS, BUT with the announcement of game discs being completely phased out in January 2028, you can no longer opt out of this idiocy by just buying physical discs that survive Sony's account banning shenanigans. Now you MUST risk it all.
