You think TV stations and Newspapers donโt make money off of them as well?
They gotta sell subscriptions.
Itโs simple have everyone apply for credentials before a certain date each week, and the school should approve or decline who they see fit.
But thatโs too much work ๐
Many of these freelancers are making a lot of money charging kids for videos and pictures for the gram. And some of them are a liability on the sidelines.
Why shouldn't schools:
1. Minimize liabilities
2. Make some money off of those making money off their student-athletes

Imma keep it 100, instead of charging freelance media to come cover your sports, how about get off your asses and actually enforce sideline behavior, have competent people checking media passes.
โtraditional mediaโ doesnโt have to pay, but freelancers do? thatโs messed up.
