Harry Kane is 33 years old, married to his childhood sweetheart, has four children and runs his own foundation dedicated to mental health. He has also used his platform to support veterans and a number of charities.
On the pitch, the numbers are extraordinary. England’s all-time top scorer. Tottenham’s all-time top scorer. Three Premier League Golden Boots and the Golden Boot at the 2018 World Cup. A career most strikers could only dream of.
Yet for all he has achieved, Kane has spent much of his career being written off or underappreciated. He has carried enormous expectations for club and country while remaining one of the most consistent goalscorers of his generation.
Whatever club you support, there aren’t many better examples for a young footballer to follow. A world-class career, a family man and someone using his position in the game to help others.
