Maura Healey @MassGovernor quickly hustled out of an event today to avoid media questions about the revelation by @FoxNews that the suspect of the fatal stabbing of a UMass Dartmouth football player is an illegal immigrant from #Nigeria. Healey said just days ago that @ICEgov is “making Massachusetts less safe,” and that they are primarily targeting people “without a criminal record.” She has also criticized her #Republican challenger for reelection Mike Minogue @mikeminoguema for supporting federal immigration enforcement.

Angler Walter Chapman, fishing aboard Castafari Inc with Captain Damon Sacco, landed a 1,260-pound blue marlin.
Officially weighed at Falmouth Bait & Tackle, the fish beat the previous Massachusetts state record by nearly 400 pounds.
The Division of Marine Fisheries congratulated both men and highlighted Sacco’s long-standing role in the state’s fishing community through podcasts, seminars, and the Commissioner’s Cup derby.
