DYSPHORIA MIO Coated Speed Surface 1.5mm Thickness Glass Size: 500 x 450mm 2.5D Edge Design Full Coverage Anti-Slip Silicone Base Jellyfish Dot Skates Accessory By far one of the most anticipated pads of mine being one of the first speedy glass surfaces I tried. This was by far the fastest surface I had tried up to this point and I really fell in love with the feel of the glide and texture. Included in the box with the dysphoria mio is a set of jellyfish skates, a collectable photo card and a fairly sizable cleaning cloth. The surface of the pad has a speed coating that ends up making the pad feel almost frictionless which makes super fast flicks and target switching feel very jittery and snappy without the cost of losing stopping power. At first I was using pink foxes on the pad which did end up being a nice mix of speed and control depending on the pressure applied, but I ended up switching to the westlab orange skates that came with my ko-one. The westlab orange was a much more speedy experience I found was very pleasant for tracking in overwatch and flicking in cs2. The feeling of the pad against my skin is one of the most comfortable glasspads i have the coating handles dust and sweat like a champ, dust comes off in a quick swipe and humidity does not make you stick to the surface which was a godsend during Arizona summer heat in a non air conditioned or dust controlled room. Originally I had thought the 1.5mm thickness was gonna make the pad feel cheap or less high quality than some of the other pads I have tried before. Upon first impressions it did make a significant difference in how comfortable a glasspad can be. The cnc’d edges don’t dig into your forearms or get caught like some taller glasspads which leads to a much more pleasant experience during long gaming sessions. The dysphoria mio ended up being one of the pads I was most excited for this year based on the design. The clean white aesthetic with soft blues and greens was an absolute joy to pair with peripherals. So much so it ended up being the foundations and inspirations for the keyboard and mouse combo I picked up. I changed the entire aesthetic of my setup around this pad, as a testament to how much I thoroughly enjoyed the pad
