Quran, Surah Al-Waqi'ah (56:68–87)
"Have you considered the water you drink?" (68)
"Is it you who bring it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?" (69)
"If We willed, We could make it salty 'and undrinkable'. Will you not then be grateful?" (70)
"Have you considered the fire you kindle?" (71)
"Is it you who grew its tree, or is it We who grow it?" (72)
"We have made it a reminder 'of the Hereafter' and a benefit for travellers 'in the wilderness'." (73)
"So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great." (74)
"So I swear by the positions of the stars" (75)
"and that is truly a mighty oath, if only you knew" (76)
"that this is indeed a noble Quran," (77)
"'kept' in a well-protected Record," (78)
"touched by none except the purified 'angels'." (79)
"A revelation from the Lord of all worlds." (80)
"How can you then take this message lightly?" (81)
"And 'instead of giving thanks' you make denial your share 'of it'?" (82)
"Why then 'are you helpless' when the soul 'of a dying person' reaches the throat," (83)
"while you are 'only able to watch' at that moment?" (84)
"And We are closer to them than you are, but you do not see." (85)
"Why then, if you are not 'to be' held to account," (86)
"do you not bring 'the soul' back, if what you say is true?" (87)
