You know when the left (also boomer Christians) says things like, “Jesus was an immigrant!”
But you know that Jesus wasn’t because Egypt was under the Roman Empire. Thus, Christ lived within the empire during his time.
Same logic with Hamilton, not to compare the same importance, obviously Christ is the most important. Back to Hamilton, he was born a British subject on Nevis (British West Indies) and moved as a teenager to the British North American colonies. He wasn’t immigrating from a foreign country… he was moving within the British Empire, then stayed and fought for the new nation after independence.
This is about the same logic, again, not comparing Christ and Hamilton but the logic.
Also, Dinesh has terrible theology and that informs his thoughts on many other topics.
Alexander Hamilton, born in the West Indies, was an immigrant to what became the United States. So we know that George Washington—who made Hamilton his Secretary of the Treasury—would not have agreed with you.
