Outdoor learning for every learner 🌿 Not every student feels ready for a residential trip, and that's okay. Our day trips at Field Studies Council day centres and learning locations offer the same inspiring outdoor learning opportunities in a format that can feel more familiar, accessible and manageable for some young people. Whether a student experiences anxiety around staying away from home, has additional learning needs, or simply benefits from returning to their own environment at the end of the day, a day trip can help remove barriers to participation.🌱 We work closely with teachers to understand their students' needs, making reasonable adjustments where possible and creating welcoming, inclusive experiences that help every learner take part, achieve and thrive. From adapted activities and flexible participation options to tailored support and inclusive teaching approaches, we're committed to ensuring outdoor learning is accessible to all.πŸ€— Because every young person deserves the chance to connect with nature, build confidence and learn beyond the classroom. πŸ’š πŸ”— Find out more: buff.ly/EIsNHNS

Today is Zero Emissions Day, and we're celebrating the progress we've made on our journey to reduce our environmental impact. 🌍 In this video, Sam, our Carbon & Energy Compliance Manager shares how Field Studies Council cut its carbon emissions by 9% in 2025 compared to 2024, and by an impressive 77.5% since 2011. From committing to 100% renewable grid electricity to generating over 50,000 kWh of renewable energy through our own solar panels, we're continuing to make meaningful progress towards a lower-carbon future. These achievements are only possible thanks to the dedication of colleagues across the organisation, whose actions, both big and small, have helped drive lasting change. And we're not stopping there. With science-based carbon reduction targets in place, we're committed to reducing our emissions year on year through to 2034. πŸŽ₯ Watch the video to learn more. #ZeroEmissionsDay
