Words of wisdom here from a UMass legend
The athletic administration at UMass is one of if not the worst in D1 athletics. The system administration has allowed that and does nothing to foster accountability or change
Unless changes are made in Amherst, it's all a waste of time
Coach Cal praised HPU for flying students out postgame.
He added: “Administrations win championships. Coaches win games. In this era of NIL, if you’re not totally into it and they’re not committed, you’re not winning. You just can’t. And High Point is.”
Worth the full listen.

Frank Martin says he hopes BC and UMass can find a way to play each other regularly moving forward. Referenced the ties between the programs and how much it meant to have these two revive their series the past two years. Will reach out to Luke Murray to figure out what’s doable.

Solid win for UMass tonight up in Orono. Maine hasn't been an easy place to play for the Minutemen and they were the better team for long stretches tonight
Big 3 points for Hockey East and UMass will go for what would be a massive early season sweep tomorrow night

NEW: If teams w/5-7 records are needed to fill bowls, the bowl’s conference will choose replacement & choice will not be based on highest APR scores, sources told @On3. If an ESPN bowl is selecting from pool of G6 teams, ESPN chooses the team to fill the vacancy, source said

It's an excellent point. On this roster UMass has now I'm not sure who could become that guy. Maybe Junjie Wang over the course of the year but right now, the Minutemen don't have that element
Who was the last true "guy" UMass had. Takes a game over. Stops a run. Hits the big shot at the right time.

Junjie Wang shooting himself literally out of both his shoes may be the 1H highlight for UMass so far today
Been a good half of 🏀 between UMass and BC so far
