~ 30 Bangers for #Noirvember ~
Day 7: “Scab” 🎨
Maynard Dixon, 1934
A labor-conflict painting that seems to reach further than its ostensible subject matter, “Scab” anticipates both the noir visual style and the brutality of the century to come.
#NowWatching Guilty Bystander (1950), which is randomly the only* film noir on MUBI (UK). #Noirvember
*The jury is out on Stark Fear (1962), also on MUBI. Those that have seen it – would you call it a noir? I can’t find it listed as one in any official sources.
Thanks to you, we've made it to the FINALS!
