Sounds promising but I don't believe for a second prosecutions will be applied equally
From today, employers caught hiring illegal delivery riders or other zero-hours workers could face £60,000 per worker fines, director disqualification or up to five years in prison. Businesses are required to check that anyone working in their name is eligible to work in the UK.

A spectacular self destruction.
You pay taxes to cover welfare for people who just choose not to work. That’s why I launched a welfare-to-work requirement. If you’re young, healthy, and get government assistance, you should work, go to school, or volunteer.

"And yes, AI is accelerating it. When a chatbot can answer anything, the incentive to make the interface clear shrinks — why polish a menu when the AI will just explain it? But that creates a loop: worse software makes people more dependent on AI to navigate it, which justifies shipping worse software."

RIP Angry Anderson. Rough diamond with a heart of gold and one of the only musicians with enough balls to back me publicly on the free speech/MAGA hat protest…I had the pleasure of a long yarn with him not so long ago. We talked about his amazing life, music and the state of country. Unsurprisingly, his views were more nuanced than the media portrayed them. He told the truth as he saw it and didn’t wait for the focus groups. It was a genre they used to call punk.. True rockstar. The kind they don’t make no more #angryanderson #rip #punk

The most surprising aspect of CH 9's hit piece on Hanson by interviewing the KKK, that it wasn't the ABC doing it

If you want 'to make the most of AI' replace 90% of Gov admin with it. Start with the work from homers. Free up money for teachers, nurses and police... frontline important jobs.
The Treasurer’s Intergenerational Report shows that productivity is the key driver of living standards. That’s why our government has a big productivity agenda, including making the most of AI, a seamless national economy and ensuring workers can move to a better job by scrapping non-compete clauses. If the State took a life outside of their euthanasia laws it's murder and everyone of these bastards need to be charged with same. Else we permit the State this abhorrent power.

It’s funny how the Left offers the same four “solutions” regardless of the nature of any problem: 1/ Raise taxes 2/ Censor speech 3/ Seize property 4/ Redefine words That’s it. That’s all they’ve got.

You didn't forfeit the right to criticize the ad, you just forfeited the right to be taken seriously. Criticize it all you want, it just makes you a hypocrite. And every time you double down here you just make it worse for yourself.

Both of these statues consumed three years of a human life. One began as a ruined block of Carrara marble that two earlier sculptors had already abandoned as hopeless. A twenty-six-year-old from Florence built a wooden enclosure around it so no one could watch, then spent those years in near-solitude, sleeping in his clothes, eating little, striking the stone until a figure emerged that Giorgio Vasari declared superior to every statue, ancient or modern, Greek or Roman. David is caught in the second before he steps toward Goliath. The sling is still hidden. The brow is furrowed. The veins stand out on the hand that will soon send the stone. He is not celebrating victory; he is gathering himself for a fight he has no right to win. He is the human form rendered so exactly that five centuries later the marble still seems warm. He was made for a cathedral and later placed before the palace of a republic that understood beauty as a public duty and proportion as a kind of moral grammar. Michelangelo said the figure was already inside the stone; he only had to set it free. The other was conceived on a screen, printed as a small model, then enlarged, cast in bronze, and coated in a pigment ground from lapis lazuli. It shows a nameless young woman in a tight blue dress and platform heels, jewellery catching the light, one leg thrown forward as if she is late for something. The artist is careful to tell us she is not a heroine, not a saint, not even a specific person. She is “everywoman.” She is the passer-by. She is the present tense walking into a future that apparently asks nothing more of us than recognition. Stand them next to each other and the distance between 1504 and 2026 becomes visible in a single glance. We once set our highest plinths with images of men who had looked a giant in the eye and of gods who had looked back. We carved bodies that remembered they were made in an image greater than their own. The squares of our cities were arguments for the possibility of the soul. Now the same squares are asked to celebrate the unexceptional self, dressed for the evening, striding past Nelson’s Column on her way to whatever comes next. The National Gallery stands directly behind the new figure, its rooms still filled with the very tradition this statue quietly declines to continue. A civilisation reveals what it worships by what it chooses to raise above the heads of its citizens. When the gaze that once travelled upward - toward the divine, toward the heroic, toward an ideal of the human form so precise it still silences rooms - is redirected sideways toward the crowd and called “representation,” something more than taste has changed. The ordinary and the unlovely are never merely decorative. They instruct. They tell the young there is no longer anything higher to become, only something more visible to be. Michelangelo found David already living inside the marble. We have forgotten how to look.
