For real though: gratitude changes our brain. Please. Name one thing. That’s enough. (You don’t have to put it here unless you want to share it. Just… do it) We can just start to be thankful. Just can, be thankful.

8 BIRDING THOUGHTS I HAD TODAY 1.) Merlin is the most valuable app in your entire arsenal, and it’s not particularly close. 2.) You can find birds anywhere, but if you want to really get some birdwatching done, then you have to go where the birds are. 3.) Sunrise over sunset any day of the week. Almost nobody else is on the road, places are still serving breakfast, and by the time you get done, you still have the rest of your day left. 4.) Slow down. It’s not a race. 5.) When it comes to taking pictures, the lens matters far more than the camera. 6.) There are some birds you can see 100 times and it will never get old. 7.) There are some birds that you will grow to hate because you mistake them for something different every single time you see them. 8.) All birds have something unique, special, and beautiful about them themselves… But he’s called the KINGFISHER for a reason.(so of course the one picture is a female lol)

Update: found safe. Was in thick bushes. Had her binkie so couldn’t be heard. She’s ok! Thank you, @LindaBumpass. And I’ll never, ever, ever be convinced that God doesn’t answer prayers. 🙌

But also, and more importantly, all our kids get opportunities and are learning to love the game

Memory lane. I married in 1990. Lovely and extravagant. I divorced in 1997. Quiet. Shamed. With 2 little boys. I remember pulling into my drive one evening after a long day (they all felt like long days during that season) and seeing one of my mom’s friends sitting inside her car. She got out with pleasantries and a full meal. And flowers. And a card that read, “sweet girl, I’ve been where you are and to the places you will go. Remember God is already there, and when you have a tangible need, call me.” She included her number. I’ve never forgotten the words, or how I felt in the moment. 30 years apart in age, she took the time and cared for me. May women carry on that legacy. May we never forget that small acts of kindness can still bring a tear decades later. RIP Ms Bettie

Finding it odd. The last two weddings Ive been invited to attend are “second weddings.”” Not second marriages, just the second of two ceremonies. The first is small, civil only or immediate family, then another (months, even a year) later for the big shin dig. All the things. I guess my question is- is it just us? Here where I live? Or for you, too?

Most days, I post pictures of “my” world. This one? No clue (except what I learned from Grok. Alaska). But just thinking, if parts of Earth are this amazing, what will Heaven be like when we get there? Breath.taking. On that note, have yourself a fabulous Thursday. 🍁🩷
