I'm extremely excited to announce my commitment to the Virginia Military Institute. I'm very thankful for Coach Wilson and the whole staff at VMI for giving me an opportunity to compete for them at the Division 1 level in the Southern Conterence. I'm extremely thankful for my family. They have been there every moment of my journey supporting me and believing in me. The sacrifices they made for me to have the opportunity to achieve my dream is everything to me. And to all my Coaches that have been with me throughout my life. From 6 years old to now, l am more than grateful to have everyone that has worked with me and developed me into the person and player I am today. 💙 SIGNED — AYDEN “AJ” AMBROSE 💙 This one means a little more to me. @AJ4ambrose For four years, AJ Ambrose has competed in a Florida PRO uniform, and I had the privilege of personally coaching him for two of those years. When you spend that much time around a young man, you get to see everything — the growth, the adversity, the big moments, the tough moments, and most importantly, the person he becomes along the way. AJ is without question one of the highest-IQ basketball players I have ever been around or coached. His ability to see the floor, anticipate what’s coming, and make the right play before it develops is special. I’ve been fortunate to direct and coach programs with some incredible talent over the years, and I can confidently say AJ is a Top 5 passer I’ve ever had in any of my programs. That is a serious statement when that group includes Ben Simmons, D’Angelo Russell and Amen Thompson — three players who became Top 5 NBA Draft picks. But what I’ll remember most about AJ has nothing to do with height, rankings or statistics. HEART OVER HEIGHT. ❤️ AJ has never allowed size to determine how much he impacts winning. His competitive edge, toughness and willingness to sacrifice his body have always separated him. And there may be no better example than this: AJ Ambrose is my ALL-TIME LEADER in charges taken. 😂💪🏽 That tells you everything you need to know about him. He’ll make the extra pass. He’ll get on the floor. He’ll step in front of somebody twice his size. He’ll do whatever the game requires to help his team win. ❤️💙 FOUR YEARS OF FLORIDA PRO — CHAUNCE STEWART - SIGNED❤️💙 @chauncee2x Some journeys mean more because you get to witness the entire process — the growth, the struggles, the maturity, and eventually watching everything start to come together. Chaunce Stewart gave four years to Florida PRO, and I had the opportunity to personally coach him for two. Throughout those four years, Chaunce has been a constant presence at the center position, playing through different teams, teammates and coaching styles while continuing to represent Florida PRO. When I think about Chaunce’s journey, one word stands out: DEVELOPMENT. The player he is today is nowhere near the player who first entered our program. Every year he got better. His skill, understanding, confidence and most importantly, his love for the game continued to grow. But Year 4 was different. Chaunce returned with a completely different mindset — more mature, focused and understanding of what it takes to make basketball part of his future. Over these last six months, I’ve watched everything begin to come together. At 6’10”, the physical tools have always been there. Now the mentality, work ethic and love for the process are catching up with the potential — and that’s what makes his future so exciting. Chaunce, I’m proud of how far you’ve come, but I truly believe we haven’t seen anywhere close to your best basketball yet. Thank you for giving four years to Florida PRO, trusting the coaches who poured into you, and allowing me to be part of your journey.
