A lot of QBs we expected to be good have underwhelmed so far, but you know who has looked real good? Austin Simmons.

Mike Rowe reveals Ford has 5,000 unfilled mechanic jobs paying $120,000 a year. No degree required. AI-proof. And Ford still can't fill them. ROWE: "Not a week goes by when I don’t get a call from some CEO... elected official... freaking out." "They’ve done the math: for every five tradespeople who retire, two come in. It’s been that way for about 12 years now." “Jim Farley (Ford CEO) told me he’s got 5,000 empty bays at Ford. These are AI-proof six-figure jobs, right? $120,000 a year. He can’t fill them.” In a separation conversation with Shawn Ryan, Rowe said he visited a Texas data center and met three “debt-free” electricians under 30 making “north of $240,000/year.” All three of those electricians have been “poached” three times in the last 18 months because the demand for electricians is crazy high. THE BIG TAKEAWAY: If you're thinking about college but aren't sure what you really wanna do, trade school might be the smarter play. Chances are, you'll take on a lot less debt, make a lot more money — and AI won't be coming for your job anytime soon.
Community note
The unfilled Ford mechanic positions require about 5 years of training or experience; $120,000 pay is for top flat-rate performers, while the median auto technician salary is ~$50,000 with high attrition due to the pay system. nypost.com/2025/11/14/bus… fleetmaintenance.com/opinion/guest-… carscoops.com/2026/01/ford-m…

The fraudulent Kansas City chiefs are obviously the team he’s talking about leaving the state. Hate to break it to KC folks, but a Rams barb is outdated. Drink is talking bout that beloved red kingdom moving to the terrorist state. What a shame.
Eli Drinkwitz: "We are the team that has chosen to stay here and invest in the state and represent the state, while others may have chosen to leave." I have no idea who he might be talking about.

The SEC has had the most NFL draft picks out of any conference for 20 straight years. The SEC has had at least 50 players selected in the draft for the last 12 years straight. Only 5 times in the last 30 years has another conference accomplished this, and zero times consecutively. The SEC has 177 first rd picks since 2010. The next closest is the Big Ten with 98. Next time you’re wondering why the SEC has the toughest strength of schedule, understand that no other conference’s teams are playing as many NFL players. It’s not remotely close. That, my friend, would be the answer to your SOS question.
"Who has the strongest SOS?" "The SEC." "Why?" "Because they play a bunch of SEC teams." "How good are SEC teams?" "Really good, because they play a bunch of SEC teams." "How do you know if SEC teams are better than teams from other conferences?" "They are better, because they play a lot more SEC teams than teams from other conferences."

Hmmm... This one hits a little different now that all the facts out.
Yup, 49ers and reporters handled this exactly as it should’ve been handled. The problem is a combo of main character syndrome (no, you’re not important enough to be entitled to all info on demand) and some accounts needing engagement for their $20 check from X
