My philosophy simply boils down to perpetual Motion. Nothing else

We should really come up with better language to describe visual aesthetics In games "PS1 graphics" is kind of like calling Expressionism "1920-ism"

The Internet, along with video games, is the only good thing that industrial civilization has ever produced. Nothing else has ever granted a shred of the individual freedom we were promised as part of "technological advancement."
Except that the anti internet people in 1999 were right about literally everything and have been vindicated on every single point to a degree that surpasses even their own worst nightmares?

Every era before the Internet but after industrialization was bleak and suffocating. You are deprived of even the most basic connection with Nature in exchange for what? Fat rich people getting to play with fancy machines? Lobotomized slaves living an extra 20 years?

The more I look into it, Vampire Survivors might legitimately be the worst game ever made. Philosophically offenseive on the deepest level. Has there ever been something more shameless in its discarding of substance in favor of cheap dopamine gratification?

It's honestly worse than generic AAA slop because the creation of it is clearly driven by sarcastic, irony-laden sentiments that run much deeper than even something like TLOU. And not only do the goycattle love it--they hailed it as a massive innovation in the medium

It's like one big calling of the consumer cattle's bluff. You people don't even need the facade of a game attached to your fucking skinner box anymore. At least mobile gacha games financially scam you so there's a real life consequence for your automatism

Grown men are celebrating billions of dollars being spent on fake flying car, rocket launches for aura edits, etc when UBI still doesn't exist. We get a new "COVID moment" every month now that reasserts just how quickly the goyim can drop their veneer of sentience on command

I hate how advertising today consists of supplying accounts with focus-grouped clips to be posted with captions like “uhh guys holy shit” etc. I know it’s nothing new. It just feels so dirty.
This might be the best Castlevania of all time holy fuck

I've never understood the obsession normies have with excrement. What is the point of bringing up a comparison between "pee and poop" to make your point?
souls fans always want to tell you they're a "souls veteran" before explaining why they don't understand another game, its like walking around labeling yourself as a poop scientist and expecting people to respect you at a pee convention you get what im saying

This obsession with "toilet humor" is downstream of our sterile domesticated culture that turns the most basic, unremarkable bodily functions into a comedy gag. Think of how many times you've been scared to fart in public or poop at someone's house for fear of ridicule

It goes even further once males hit puberty. You're praying you don't get an erection in class, which immediately opens you up to ridicule from everyone around you (including other males who experience the same thing)

SOTN is really only great in the first half or so. At a certain point the unnecessary RPG mechanics and overpowered transformations take away the little tension that was there. The "Metroidvania" genre is mostly a blight outside of actual Metroid games
i kinda hate Symphony of the Night, like its a great game a fantastic game but i hate it for what it did to castlevania as a whole. EVERYTHING has to be SOTN now. fuck igavanias

Anyone who plays Rondo of Blood right before SOTN and feels anything less than the death of the series has zero taste and shouldn't be allowed to comment on anything video game-related

If we're being honest Rain World is probably the only non-Metroid "Metroidvania" worth playing, and the goymers shit on it for not being a mindless parkour simulator with gaudy visual stimulation

Outside of all the manosphere grifting, retention very obviously works. There is clearly an immense psychological benefit to exercising your ability to control your base urges, and channel that tension into other things rather than immediately seeking release

There's definitely diminishing returns after a certain time period, and once you've strengthened that psychological "muscle" the practice itself becomes less important. It also probably doesn't matter much if you're an ordinary person who isn't pushing themselves at anything

But pretending it doesn't work or carry any benefit is pure cope, a self-report that you have no control and can't function under tension

Engaging with the NES library makes it clear that a lot of it was (Easier, sometimes worse) Arcade game at home, which definitely Clarifies a lot of the meme millennial NES hate of the 2000s
