Chimney Swifts filtering into a tree cavity shortly after sunset. Right in the middle of UNC’s campus! Draws a crowd every evening while it lasts. They’ll soon migrate south for the winter. Very fortunate to witness them using a natural roost. Shown in thermal infrared. #birds

I took some comet pictures and I stumbled on two cool things about it.
1) The comet is casting a shadow on its own tail - you can see a faint dark line down the center of the tail.
2) There's like a second faint line pointing in the opposite direction of the main tail
