Coinbase now lets you lend USDC two ways.

Prime is the boring one.
USDC out, mostly blue-chip collateral in btc,eth... the rate is lower because the book is meant to sleep.
High Yield is the other door
same USDC different collateral.

They need to pay, prove who they are, and not get rugged by their own wallet.
That’s why agent-payment rails (Kite and the x402 crowd) are more interesting than most “AI agent” coins.
The stack that matters:
Identity the agent can carry across apps
Stablecoin settlement that isn’t a 14-step bridge
A merchant who actually wants the agent as a customer
If your token only exists so the agent can be speculated on, you built a mascot, not a protocol.
