Internal documents obtained by the Irish Daily Mail show Department of Health officials told Ms MacNeill in July that there had been 'no in-year improvements to demonstrate' in waiting lists under the 2025 Waiting List Action Plan.
The press release did not include the 10.4% year-to-date increase in the overall waiting list, the 19.2% rise in long waiters or the fall in the proportion of patients being seen within the #Sláintecare targets.
