Didn’t take as long as I thought for people realizing that SSR actually takes resources from the backend they pay for instead of from potent client devices they don’t pay for 😂 tech world is a binary pendulum.
Our only nextjs app (simple web app) consumes more resources than all our 7 Go backend services COMBINED!

Why not turning the habit into sth meaningful instead? Just establish an emoji-code, then they can be used as tags which can be searched by. Actually sounds fun AND meaningful to me.

Funny story:
Yesterday I was talking to a friend. He’s not an IT guy, but he’s super interested in tech and programming. He told me that he rented two servers from Netcup, a German VPS host, for a DEV and PROD environment and wanted a tip from me.

Funny how so many devs are suddenly realizing that Hetzner and the like are so much cheaper than Vercel, AWS, etc. As if that were news. The wheel of life turns quickly in the IT world.

Im working on a modular open source TS SDK, requiring a Storage Implementation. Now I want to implement different storages. The company I work for uses prisma a lot. Does anyone have experience with libraries using prisma ? How would consumers push the schema to the db ?

Is there anyone with trust-based working hours who tracks them for own purposes? If so, which tool are you using ? Every tool i can find has its focus on billing or is paid. Filtered export function would be awesome. Tracking of overtime even more 😅

I set the shortcuts to Hyper + h (switch to display left), Hyper + l (switch to display right), Hyper + j (move space on the same screen left), Hyper + k (move space on the same screen right), and Hyper + {number} (switch to space with index). #HyperKey #Productivity

An addition because I forgot to mention it: To quickly switch between spaces, I created shortcuts in MacOS System Preferences under Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Mission Control. #MacOS #Shortcuts #MissionControl
I mentioned that I wanted to start working with #yabai and #skhd. I've spend quite some time finding the right configuration for me. After a few days of tweaking, I now have a configuration that really works for me. #yabai #skhd #productivity
