It’s been about a month since we got back home, and I’ve finally finished putting all our photos and videos from the trip into one big video. It was pretty hard to capture everything we experienced just through tweets, so I think this video is a much better way to show everything that went on. It has everything in it, our phone call with the ISS, all the adventures we had with locals, and all the other crazy stuff that happened along the way. About 99% of the footage in this video is something we haven’t posted before. Unfortunately, I can’t upload it directly to Twitter because it’s filled with copyrighted music. We obviously can’t monetize it on YouTube either because of that, but if you could leave a like and subscribe, that would really help us out. Called my 86 year old mother when I was driving to Pilates this morning. She said excitedly, “Did you see Freddy was in Fairhope?! He wants to move there!” You know it’s a lasting phenomenon when even the Silent Generation is following him.

Eating dinner together with the locals across the street from our hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. And even a live singer. We’ve been told to go to Flora-Bama and to try donuts in Ocean Springs.

Today Germany plays against Netherlands in the Nations League. We walked across the street to a Casino hotel that has a buffet restaurant for 21$. We’ve been sitting here for a while watching the match and every 15–20 minutes we get up and grab some more food😅

As most people have probably figured out by now, we’re on our way to Baton Rouge to watch LSU vs Texas A&M on Saturday. We visited that place during our World Cup trip and locals told us how crazy it gets, so seeing a game there was one of the main things we wanted to do on this trip.

We decided to stay in Biloxi, Mississippi. We found a nice hotel for only $170 for two nights and have a balcony to watch the sunset. There’s something about these Gulf Coast sunsets, they never disappoint.

After three days it’s time to leave Fairhope and continue the journey. We will miss this place, but it’s time for the next stop: Mississippi! We just crossed into the state and are planning to stay until Friday. Last time we drove through, now we want to spend some time here!

Fairhope really feels like the American Dream🇺🇸 We looked at some real estate here and were actually surprised by the prices. The town looks pretty fancy, but some of these houses cost about the same as a one-bedroom apartment in our hometown. Now eating dinner and dreaming about living here.

The weather here changes every five minutes but we got lucky and the sunset was gorgeous and not blocked by clouds. We went on a boat with some locals and had the best time. A great last evening in Fairhope🌅

We’re staying another day in Fairhope because we just don’t want to leave this place. We just got to meet the mayor and were presented with the key to the city (WTF🤯). Such an honor and it means so much considering how much we love this place.

Monday nights in Alabama🌙 Met a lot of nice people here. 50% are Alabama fans and 50% Auburn fans, so we’re right in the middle of the rivalry here. The Alabama fans are trying to talk us into going to a game in Tuscaloosa.

I don’t know how to describe it but something about Fairhope feels so calm and peaceful. Every street is decorated with flowers, they’re playing relaxing music over speakers in downtown. If I ever become rich, I’ll move here and retire.

Today we’re exploring Fairhope, Alabama. This here is the daily cannon firing they do at the Grand Hotel. We were told it’s a tradition to honor the U.S. military, veterans and the history of the area.

We are back in our favorite place in America. Fairhope, Alabama 🇺🇸 Last time we only had one evening here. This time we’re staying a few days to relax and enjoy some sunsets over the Gulf.

We just left Auburn and wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for such a special weekend. Auburn already had a special place in our hearts after we came here in June, but even more now. The people, the town, the hospitality. We definitely learned why they call it “the loveliest village on the plains.” We’ll be back next year for another game! War Damn Eagle 🧡💙🦅

Believe it or not, this was our first time riding a horse. Now I wanna go somewhere out west and ride through nature like this.

Unfortunately Auburn didn’t get the win tonight💔 This means we won’t get the opportunity to throw toilet paper into the trees. But this is just another reason to come back here for another game.
