Research into certifications is important, as brands, retailers and consumers rely on them to ensure certain standards are adhered to. This new report is crucial in pointing out the big gaps between ecolabels and the protection of workers in the fishing industry. 👇
New research funded by Humanity United and the @Freedom_Fund, finds that the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), a well-known, consumer-friendly ecolabel stamp, does not effectively protect fishers from labor violations.
