Our guests from India have been so passionate about our Trek, and everyone who joined has been really pleased with the experience. Let's take a look at how this father from Mumbai described his time.
This family from Mumbai had been reading about China’s technology for years. This summer, they came to see it firsthand. What stood out? Robotics, automation and autonomous vehicles already becoming part of everyday life. Seeing it yourself gives you context. 👇

Our trek is more than a trip — it’s a family learning experience. Shared journey. Individual growth. Traveling together, yet discovering uniquely. A curated deep dive into the world’s most dynamic tech ecosystem.
Same Tech China Trek. Very different favorites. Daughter: the facial expressions on humanoid robots 🤖 Dad: Beijing’s autonomous vehicles, especially how extensively they’ve already been deployed 🚕 Other takeaway? The people you travel with matter as much as what you see. 👇

This kind of curiosity is exactly what we hope to spark in these kids.
Seeing China’s tech up close made one of our teenage participants ask a bigger question: What will the world look like when we grow up? It was awesome to see how our world is probably gonna look in like 30-40 years, when we’re gonna be adults. Reflection from Tech China Trek.

This teenage girl from California gave a well-articulated talk. The kind of education I believe in doesn't start by telling young people what they should do. It starts by giving them the chance to see for themselves, ask their own questions, and form their own views.
What does China look like through a teenager’s eyes? For one student from California, the answer was: very different when seen through a tech lens. “It was really cool to see this place from a tech perspective.” She also came away thinking differently about her future career 👇

Come to China and see the world differently.
“Kids need different role models and mentors.” A father from NYC joined Tech China Trek with his children and came away struck by the energy and optimism he saw across China’s tech ecosystem. His takeaway: travel helps kids see how differently things can be done around the world.

Many of our parent customers share that same feeling. They usually think they're just coming along to chaperone their kids, but they end up really enjoying our Tech China Trek themselves!
She joined Tech China Trek for her son. Then she realized she was learning just as much herself. “I thought my son would like it, but it turned out that I also really liked it.” A parent from Singapore on her experience with us 👇

16 years ago, I led 60 Berkeley classmates on a China Trek. This July, I did it again — but this time, for the next generation. Here's why I built @TechChinaTrek, and why I believe young people should experience China tech firsthand. #ChinaTech #TechChinaTrek

Super glad to discuss our work to the Consul General of India in Shanghai. Afterwards, I am even more convinced that what we are doing is an area the Indian gov is very keen to focus on, which can be summarized as the three Ts. Everything we do relates to all three of them.

In separate engagements with Mr. Freeman Ding, Co-founder, Tech China Trek and Ms. Rui Ma, COO, Alpha Watch-AI, hospitality major #Benares and #IndiaMasala restaurants in Hangzhou owners Shri Nishit and Ms. Mona Bapna and Team from PaceDigitek led by CMD Shri Venugopal Rao Maddisetty and Shri Jaimin Sibal, Consul General discussed the growing importance of partnerships and potential for positive collaboration. @PratikMathur1 @IndianDiplomacy @indiandiplomats @FreemanDing @ruima

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.
Two cohorts. Two unforgettable weeks. 💙 We explored robots, AI, autonomous driving, smart factories, and so much more. But the greatest part of Tech China Trek wasn't the technology. It was the people we shared it with. The trip ends here. The story is just beginning.

We are a remote team operating across multiple time zones. Interestingly, today’s kick-off lunch was the very first time the four of us have met in person!
One day to go. After weeks of route checks, site visits, planning, calls, messages, and countless tiny logistics puzzles, our first Tech China Trek cohort is almost here. Today: team kick-off lunch. Tomorrow: the trek begins. :-) #ChinaTech #STEM

Haha, that's me boxing, and the person jumping is the company's founder and CEO!
Sneak peek #5 from our July route check👀 Wanna try a “Bullet Time” shot like in The Matrix? Our students will visit a China-based AR/VR and film post-production studio, using multi-camera synchronized shooting + real-time processing to create their own 3D action video. #ARVR

Where can you actually ride in a true driverless car today? Despite what AI might tell you about global testing, the reality is: the U.S. and China are the only places where tourists can currently book a fully autonomous ride on real roads.
Sneak peek #4 from Beijing 👀 One highlight of our July Tech China Trek route: @BaiduApollo Go. At meaningful public robotaxi scale, the U.S. and China are the two markets to watch. For students, this is applied AI on real roads — not a demo, but a city system. #AI #ChinaTech

Trust me, wearing these makes hiking so much easier and really saves your energy, especially when you're going downhill. 😁
Sneak peek #3 from Beijing 👀 Our co-founder @FreemanDing climbed the Great Wall today. But not entirely on his own! This time, he had a little help from tech. What kind of tech makes climbing the Great Wall feel different? We’ll reveal it in July :-) #ChinaTech #STEM

This model is famous in China because it was featured on this year's Spring Festival Gala.
Sneak peek #2 from our Beijing route check 👀 @FreemanDing also met Bumi, the small @TheRealNoetix robot featured at China's 2026 Spring Festival Gala. With multiple joint degrees of freedom across its limbs and waist, Bumi can move in expressive ways. #Robotics #AI

Her facial expressions and lip-syncing are incredibly lifelike. When you are up close, watching her and talking to her, it actually triggers a bit of an uncanny valley effect.
Sneak peek #1 from our July route check 👀 Our co-founder Freeman visited @TheRealNoetix in Beijing today and met Xiaoyue: a lifelike robotic head with realistic facial expressions, lip-sync, and fluent Chi/Eng conversation. A glimpse of applied AI, up close. #Robotics #AI
