MY MESSAGE HAS BEEN TWISTED Even though my media office has issued a responsible clarification on the situation, I still find it necessary to add my voice to address the distortion of my message by political opponents. I deeply appreciate Nigerians in the diaspora who work tirelessly and make enormous sacrifices to support their families back home. Their remittances pay for school fees, hospital bills, rent, and feeding expenses. Their patriotism and sacrifices deserve our profound respect. I never asked them to abandon their loved ones. My concern is that Nigeria should not remain a country where millions depend on relatives abroad for basic survival. Our goal must be to build a nation that provides jobs, affordable healthcare, quality education, and economic opportunities for its citizens. Political opponents may twist my message, but the truth remains clear: I am not asking Nigerians abroad to abandon their families. I am advocating for a Nigeria that will no longer abandon its own people. God bless Nigerians at home and abroad. God bless Nigeria. -PO

A PERSONAL APPEAL FOR YOUR SUPPORT Dear Friends & supporters, I am reaching out to you not just as a candidate seeking your support, but as someone who sincerely believes that Surulere 1 deserves a better future and leadership that truly listens, cares, and delivers. My decision to contest for the Federal House of Representatives under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is driven by my desire to serve our people, give a stronger voice to our communities, and contribute to meaningful development in Surulere 1 Federal Constituency. This journey has not been easy. I have taken on the financial responsibilities of this campaign myself, and the demands have been enormous. Despite the challenges, my commitment to this vision remains strong. However, I have come to realise that a mission of this magnitude cannot be accomplished alone. It requires the support, encouragement, prayers, and contributions of people who believe in the same vision. That is why I am reaching out to all those who believe in me. I humbly ask you to stand with me and support this campaign financially or materially, according to your ability. No contribution is too small, and every act of support will mean a great deal to me. Beyond the financial assistance, your support will remind me that I am not walking this road alone and that there are people who believe in what we are trying to achieve together. If you believe in my aspiration and share my hope for a better Surulere 1, I would be deeply grateful for your support. Account details for your kind contribution: Bank: First Bank Plc Account Name: Surulere 1 Win Team Account Number: 2043175172 For enquiries: 08142354951 Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal. Apparently you endorse this toxic and vile behavior of mocking the unfortunate demise of a fellow Nigerian because of his political affiliation. This is a behavior I never tolerated and often left me feeling I was in the wrong circle. His relatives may even share the same political affiliation with you lots, but imagine them reading such rubbish. All of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

World Poverty Day: Why Nigeria Should Have Declared Today a Public Holiday Today is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Sadly, Nigeria has become a symbol of the global poverty crisis. The rising poverty rate, from 40.1 per cent in 2019 to 56.2 per cent in 2023 and an estimated 63 per cent in 2026, shows how a country can move progressively backwards while those in authority appear unconcerned. Millions of Nigerians are now struggling to live, to afford food, and access healthcare. Yet, government narratives often paint a different picture. What meaning does economic growth have when citizens are getting poorer, hungrier, and more insecure? Progress must be measured by improvements in people’s lives. As poverty deepens, the government should genuinely show concern. Perhaps today should have been declared a public holiday, not for celebration, but for national reflection on how a country so richly endowed with human and natural resources has allowed poverty to overcome it. Poverty is not Nigeria’s destiny. With competent leadership, prudent management of public resources, investment in education and healthcare, and support for agriculture and small businesses, we can reverse this trend. A new Nigeria where no citizen goes to bed hungry and where every citizen lives in dignity is POssible and OK. -PO

CIC Alumni: A Worthy Example of Giving Back Education remains the most important investment we can make in the future. Yesterday, Friday, 16 October, I visited the College of Immaculate Conception (CIC), Enugu to honour the invitation of College Alumni Association President Dr Valentine Ozoigbo and inspect the remarkable work being done by the college’s alumni. This is what I have continued to preach: we must give back to society. Those of us who passed through primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions have a responsibility to invest in them and remember the schools that helped shape our lives. I was immensely impressed by the alumni’s efforts under Dr Ozoigbo’s leadership. I saw impressive projects, including a multipurpose hall, a dormitory complex, a sports complex, and an ongoing five-storey staff quarters building. They are already planning their next project. This is a worthy example of what collective commitment and generosity can achieve. I pledge to be part of their STEM project. I encourage alumni of other institutions across Nigeria to emulate this example. We do not have to be immensely wealthy to make a difference. Through collective effort and regular contributions, we can improve our former schools, provide better facilities, and create opportunities for future generations. If alumni embrace this responsibility, our schools would be better equipped, and the burden on the government would be reduced. I encouraged the students to take their studies seriously, remain disciplined, and work hard. I reminded them that, with commitment and determination, they too can become successful in life. I also urged them to respect their teachers, maintain good relationships with them, and appreciate their guidance, even after graduation. I thanked the teachers for their dedication, particularly their efforts in maintaining the cleanliness of the school and the evident discipline among the students. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

After my engagements in Manchester, I honoured another impromptu engagement in Birmingham, UK, with a group of Nigerians having their annual general meeting. Our discussions centered on achieving our collective purpose of building a New Nigeria that works for all, which is centered on tackling corruption and electing competent leaders with capacity, character, compassion and commitment, to unite, secure, and move the nation from consumption to production. When you supported Peter Obi did he ever control you or controlled what you said or tweeted? Did you ever become a lackey that was remote controlled by him? So on what basis did what @EmirSirdam tweet had anything to do with Peter Obi. If your present movement is where you are remote controlled on what to say and not say don’t then attribute it to where you are coming from. Candid advice, take a moment to read and understand and not read to reply
@OoTheNigerian We agree on the core point —death should never be turned into political content or a “lesson.” The Obi tag was simply to ask whether this kind of framing reflects the standard his movement and people like @EmirSirdam who are his core surrogates expect him to own. The original post didn’t discuss healthcare capacity or doctors’ strikes. It used a man’s death to score a point a political point. Those are two different things. Real issues which state of our healthcare, hospital readiness, doctor’s strikes, can and should be debated. Weaponising a family’s loss should not. That line holds for everyone. PO is not a mini-god and I will tag whoever I like including John the Baptist!

I have noted with deep concern the conduct of the ADC campaign team. The attacks directed at me, our presidential candidate His Excellency Peter Obi, and our party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), are unnecessary and unhelpful. Rather than focusing on presenting the competence, credibility, and capacity of their own candidate as we have consistently done by placing our credentials and record of achievements before Nigerians, the ADC Presidential Campaign Council appears intent on creating mischief against our party and ticket. This includes attempts to portray us as working for the ruling party or to suggest that we may withdraw from the race in favour of the ADC candidate at the last minute. The ADC-PCC would be better served directing its energy toward rebutting the serious allegations levelled against their candidate by the Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, instead of targeting me and His Excellency Peter Obi. We are aware that the ADC-PCC may try to mislead our supporters on the eve of the election by claiming that we intend to withdraw in their favour. Let me state clearly and unequivocally: we will not withdraw our candidature for the ADC or any other party. We remain confident in our capacity, competence, and readiness to lead Nigeria. The OK ticket is neither working for nor acting on behalf of the APC or any of its candidates. We see no possibility or reason to withdraw from the presidential race in favour of the ADC candidate or any other. These claims are unfounded and should be treated as such. The APC-led government has failed Nigerians. The ADC offers no better alternative. We believe the OK ticket presents a credible and viable option, backed by proven capacity, a strong track record, credibility, and broad support across both Northern and Southern Nigeria. It is a healing ticket committed to uniting our country and tackling critical challenges in security, education, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, the economy, and other key sectors. We believe the NDC remains the most formidable and viable opposition party in the country. I therefore urge all our supporters and well-meaning Nigerians to continue working toward the victory of our great party. Nigeria will be OK. - RMK

Yesterday some people were scandalized (or felt “rage-baited”) that I tagged @PeterObi while criticizing EmirSirdam’s post. For the record, EmirSirdam has done the same to me repeatedly, including this one where he quote-tweeted a Peter Obi post about OAU and tagged me demanding my attention: Tagging is either normal political engagement or it isn’t. It can’t only be acceptable when it suits one side. What is good for Akin Olaoye is also good for Peter Obi. The hypocrisy stinks. @OoTheNigerian At least you go owe me small apology!

THE INDONESIAN OIL INDUSTRY AND THE BALI 24 HOURS FUEL SHORTAGE INCIDENT... FACTS VS PROPAGANDA For context, INDONESIA is a country, made up of 1,340 ethnic groups /nationalities [more than 4times the number of ethnic groups in Nigeria] INDONESIA has a landmass of 1.95 square kilometers [ more than twice that of Nigeria] Indonesia has population of 289million people [ far more than Nigeria] INDONESIA has only crude oil reserve of 2.3billion barrels [ crude oil per capita of 7.9barrels ] , WHICH IS WAY LOWER THAN NIGERIAS CRUDE OIL PER CAPITA OF 156 BARRELS] INDONESIA has GDP per capita of USD$ 5,362 [ 5 times bigger than Nigeria's ] Inflation rate in INDONESIA is just 3.28% and food inflation rate of 4.37% . INDONESIA minimum wage in Naira is N422,892 and has poverty rate of 0.85% [ only 2.38million people in INDONESIA are extreme poor, compared to Nigerias 197million very poor people] THE LESS THAN 24 HOURS BALI FUEL SHORTAGE INCIDENT ... FACTS..VS SEGUNS PROPAGANDA... Bali [ an Island in INDONESIA] experienced a sudden fuel crisis starting around October 12, 2026, after lines of vehicles began forming at gas stations across the island as early as Sunday, October 11, 2026. CAUSES OF THE SHORTAGE ... Tanker Anchor Malfunction: A fuel delivery tanker suffered a mechanical anchor failure off the coast of Bali, which delayed vessel birthing and offloading at the terminal. Bad Weather and Rough Seas: High waves and severe weather slowed down shipments arriving at the Sanggaran (Denpasar) and Manggis (Karangasem) terminals. High Demand and Panic Buying: A heavy reliance on government-subsidized Pertalite gasoline—combined with widespread panic-buying from motorists worried about running dry—strained local pump inventories much faster than they could be replenished. CURRENT STATUS .. State-owned energy distributor Pertamina Patra Niaga shifted to 24-hour deliveries to clear the backlog. Terminals now hold tens of millions of liters in stock, and queues have begun to ease gradually, though sporadic delays and wait times continue at some stations. Local authorities issued remote-learning and work-from-home directives during the peak of the crunch to reduce commuting demand. MOST UNFORTUNATELY, PROPAGANDISTS AND CALCIFIED MORONS LIKE SEGUN, ARE NOT AWARE THAT AS AT 1970 [ AFTER THE CIVIL WAR] , WHEN NIGERIA''S GDP PER CAPITA WAS USD$224, THAT OF INDONESIA WAS JUST USD$79.... SEE ,HOW FAR THEY HAVE LEFT US BEHIND BECAUSE MORONS LIKE SEGUN, WANTS NIGERIA TO CONTINUE TO RETROGRESS AND HAEMORRHAGE UNDER THEIR PROPAGANDA BLITZKRIEG, DESIGN TO PROP UP FAILED REGIMES NONSENSE @ruffydfire
