Earlier today, members of the Frisco Police Department, City of Frisco staff, and the Frisco Fire Department came together for our annual 9/11 Memorial Service. We remain deeply grateful for the courageous men and women who answered the call twenty‑five years ago, responding with unwavering bravery during one of our nation’s darkest moments. Each year, we gather to honor the lives lost and reflect on the events that forever shaped us. The impact of that day is remembered differently by each person, but it unites us all. As Chief D. Shilson shared: "September 11th was never just a story about one department or profession. It was a story about Americans standing together — first responders and ordinary citizens — each answering the same call: ‘Help your fellow American.’" Today, we stand shoulder to shoulder with our partners at the Frisco Fire Department, committed to ensuring that everyone who calls Frisco “home” has a safe place to live, work, and play.
