Lads, how about play a Test match, ey?
For the first time in Cricket World Cup history, India and Pakistan are likely to face each other twice in 2027. First on October 10 in Johannesburg and then again on November 7 in Cape Town provided both qualify for the Super Seven stage.
There could even be a third meeting if they face each other in the semi-finals or the final.
Five months before the World Cup, India and Pakistan are also likely to play twice in the Asia Cup and three times if both reach the final.
So, within the space of six months in 2027, there is a realistic possibility of four India vs Pakistan ODI matches and as many as six if they also meet in the knockout stages.
