Furyball was initially planned to be a Versus fighter inspired by tennis and games such as Windjammers and Lethal League!

Behind Furyball there are a lot of distinct inspirations.
We got particularly influenced by Anime and Mangas from the 90’s
Akira's Graphical style and color scheme, as well as it's dystopic city and sensory overload.
Hokuto No Ken's over-the-top brutality and characters full of personality.
Gunnm’s Megacity, ultra violent sport and iconic female protagonist.
These works have shaped a lot of Neo Arcadia’s identity, mood and structure. Intertwining these inspirational works with our unique setting and gameplay is what creates the uniqueness of Furyball.
