Parastoo Ahmadi, one of Iran's most beloved singers, has reportedly been sentenced to 74 lashes simply for singing. Her musicians and production team face the same punishment. In the 21st century, a woman will be lashed on her body because she dared to sing.
I want to scream. I want to shout in the street and sing loud and tell everyone: this government is killing innocent people, executing them, lashing them. This is not a normal government.
So I am calling on every famous singer, every big name, every artist with a stage and a microphone: be Parastoo's voice. Sing for her until she can sing again.

Mike Bordick should be in the National Baseball Hall of Fame for this. He lays it out exactly how it is in the current state of the Orioles and most of the MLB. He rips into Albernaz, Elias and the whole organization for ruining baseball by hiring and listening to the analytical dorks who never played the game in their lives. He says exactly what I’ve been saying for 3 years: You need veteran presence in the dugout and BASEBALL people in the front office.

The fact that young girls have to bear this burden themselves as opposed to the adults is a good indicator that we've failed as a society.

NCAA softball player Kendall Kotzmacher describes walking onto the field and seeing a biological male athlete on the opposing team after working her entire life for the chance to compete at that level.
Kotzmacher says she stayed in the game because it was one of her final chances to play alongside her sister, and because her family traveled to watch them compete.
“Knowing there's nothing you can do about it is unimaginable.”

A university president just admitted the obvious on Bill Maher.
Campus after campus is a one-party town.
Surveys show something like 77 out of 80 professors vote Democrat.
Then they act shocked when the kids come out talking like junior commissars.
Maher called it what it is: indoctrination instead of education.
No perspective on Western civilization.
No tolerance for a conservative voice.
Plenty of Marx on the syllabus.
The president said most faculty aren’t trying to brainwash anyone.
