Developing a net zero ambulance service is a massive task. @alexiskeech has showed how changes can be made inside the ambulance with greener choices for medication (Entonox alternative/better cylinders), outside the ambulance and the vehicle itself (EV, more streamlined shape to save miles, money and carbon!) YAS drives 40million miles/yr! Even small gains make a big difference 💚🚑

@alexiskeech is the Sustainability Manager at Yorkshire Ambulance Service and has been on an incredible career sustainability journey. YAS uses 100,000 tonnes CO2 per year and Alexis is tackling this in many ways - LED lights, solar, tree planting, EV charging, returning to reusables…the list is endless! 🌍💚🌱

Some examples of excellent green interventions in GP include switching to dry powder inhalers and discouraging stockpiling of medications.
