Fan games are always better off as examples of a concept that the developers wanna see realized rather than any sort of gotcha. And this is great because it helps them and other people see things they want and dont want. It's apart of the creative process and growth.
The thing that I absolutely need everybody to remember at the end of the day is that Daybreak isn't supposed to be put up as an example of "what Sonic Team should do". I think there are CONCEPTS you could say should be worked into main games, but as a whole Daybreak would not-
