There were 1,112 Orange Parades in the N. of Ireland in 2020 (Parades Conmission data). Many of these were through shared or mainly nationalist areas. They have had 1 banned. The 21 murders including 3 children one. They say this is an infringement of their rights.

For 28 years, the people of Garvaghy Road have lived in peace. That peace was never a problem to be solved. It is a peace to be protected.
This march is steeped in a history of hate, sectarian violence and murder. People across the North are dismayed by this decision.
Sinn Féin stands fully with the Garvaghy Road community. They have the support of nationalists right across Ireland in the time ahead.
