I saw so many confusing guides for ZEC lol. I had to go through the whole process myself and figure it out.
I realized everything revolves around Near.com.
You connect your EVM wallet to Near through Zerion, OKX or other supported wallets.
Fund your Near account from your EVM wallet.
Then:
1. Click on the Trade tab.
2. Swap your ETH to ZEC if you sent ETH Mainnet directly to Near.
3. Open Chrome and search for Noir Wallet.
4. Add Noir Wallet to Chrome.
5. Create your wallet and save your seed phrase securely.
6. Save both your shielded and transparent ZEC addresses.
Tbh, both addresses serve the same wallet, but they work differently.
The shielded address provides enhanced privacy for your transactions, making them harder to trace or publicly link. The transparent address makes your transaction details publicly visible on the blockchain.
Save both addresses on your phone because you will need them for the ZEC application meta currently going on.
To send ZEC to Noir:
1. Copy your shielded ZEC address.
2. Go back to your Near account.
3. Click Home.
4. Click Send.
5. Change the token and network to ZEC.
6. Paste your ZEC address under Recipient.
7. Enter the amount of ZEC you already swapped in your Near account.
8. Click Send.
Done.
Note: Make sure you send the amount of ZEC you need to your Noir Wallet at least 30 minutes before you plan to use it or mint.
The transfer takes some time and it can also take a while before the ZEC reflects in your Noir Wallet.
To send ZEC back:
1. Go to your Near account.
2. Click Receive.
3. Change the network to ZEC.
4. Copy your transparent ZEC address.
5. Use the transparent address to send your ZEC from Noir Wallet.
6. Wait a few minutes for the ZEC to arrive in your Near account.
7. Swap it to SOL, an EVM asset or whatever asset you need.
8. You can also use Universal Send to send it to another supported chain.
