I sincerely don’t like it when people act like the new Resident Evil movie is super faithful just because it has zombies, a creepy house, a hospital, a lab, and a few recreated scenes. Those are surface-level references. A few familiar locations and monsters don’t make it feel like Resident Evil. The games are defined by their characters, survival-horror gameplay, puzzles, resource management, and unique tone. It feels more like a generic horror movie wearing the RE name than an actual adaptation. #ResidentEvil

There’s actually a theory that Leon could be one of the people on the helicopter team at the end of the Resident Evil movie. It would be a pretty interesting connection since Leon is one of the most important characters in the games, and the movie already borrows elements from the games without directly following their stories. If that helicopter team is meant to be setting up future characters, hiding Leon among them could be a subtle way of introducing him without revealing his identity yet. #ResidentEvil

I’m such a big fan of Resident Eviland when i saw Bryan leaves the message for michelle with no signal then turns into a monster, and the phone just stays in raccoon Leon’s the one who’d find it like a regular re file. “this is for michelle…” (in the game) and then he holsters it and keeps walking. michelle still never hears it. So i think Leon was part of the army that took Bryan’s life in the ending.
Realizing Leon actually finds the recording Bryan left for Michelle.

that lock thing is straight from the games. you can outrun a monster and still lose because of the door bryan spends the night learning that ammo does not beat a padlock, which is why it feels like resident evil instead of a regular zombie movie. theory is that, the city is built like a game map on purpose. umbrella already treated raccoon like a dungeon, so the keys and locks were there before the outbreak. bryan is just the first person we watch hit that wall. a real protagonist would have found the key two rooms back i guess #ResidentEvil
I actually like the idea of the padlocks being practically indestructible without the key in the Resident Evil movie. It reminds me so much of the games, especially when you’re being chased by a monster, sprint to the nearest door thinking you’re safe, only for your character to stand there because “This door is locked.” You can survive zombies, monsters and biological weapons, but apparently a locked door is where your journey ends. #ResidentEvil

I think Bryan’s point of no return was either the moment he got bitten, or honestly, the moment he accepted that deal to deliver the package. Either way, his fate may have been sealed long before the cure ever had a chance to save him.
I just finished watching Resident evil and i have a question about the ending..Did Bryan ever have a real chance of staying human or was the cure falling inevitable the moment he got bitten? #ResidentEvil

Why isn’t Alice in the RE games when she is probably the most iconic character in the movies?
