To be as polite as I can, it’s much easier to “eyeball” where you are from any given point at any time, then it is to “eyeball” the maximum jump distance for a telepath while they’re actively hopping through civilians. And having a precise number makes give you that certainty.

they took all that inspo from insomniac Spider-Man but didn't even incorporate how he's constantly calculating distances because of his swinging
