Interesting things afoot in my old Gattis and Double Daves pizza delivery territory.
Austin City Council Votes Today: Paige Ellis is termed out and still rushing a vote to put 1,000 Stratus apartments across from Kiker Elementary.
They never answered the only question that matters: why does the entrance dump traffic straight into an elementary school.
Not “we studied it.” Not “here’s the other driveway.” Just push it through before she’s gone, blame the HOA, and let the kids eat the pickup-line chaos.
Parents found her official position 3 days before the vote.
That’s not planning. That’s a last-day rush order -- why?

I was throwing out some recycling mid game Saturday, and over the noise of the crowd I heard someone yelling. As is my practice I investigate, and I realize it is time to see who this gentlemen supports for city council.
He doesn't know much about the city council race. He likes Trump and Abbott. He is from Dallas. My dad called midway to tell me about the UT/Southwest Texas State game. Me a UT graduate, my parents SWTS grads. About half the video is missing. My parents have incredible call timing.
I got his name, he showed me his social. He was crazy, then normal, and then after I was like I have to go. Back to crazy. A guy hurriedly getting off the bus was missed. The timing of my dads call was crazy. @ATXVideos #election2026 #austin #homeless
