This is just silly. Were people not also really hyped for RDR2? GTA 5? GTA 4? I could go on. I do think there could be a LITTLE bit of a drop, mostly because I think we could see some criticism of the commercialisation of this game seep through into reviews. However, expecting such a huge drop from Rockstar’s typical mid to high 90’s Metacritic score is just dramatic. My prediction is 95 to 98.

We’re FINALLY going to hear about GTA 6’s “advanced weather systems” next week in Game Informer’s exclusive cover story. With the game being set in Florida/Leonida it almost requires some insane weather conditions and I always assumed that Rockstar would develop some crazy technology for it. Very excited to hear about just how nuts the environments can get. There’ll also be information on wildlife and cultural accuracy. HYPE.

I am desperate for a sequel to LA Noire, but hear me out, Remedy should be the ones to develop it. Rockstar is currently funding, marketing and publishing the Max Payne remakes. Their relationship is very strong and I think that giving them this IP would be a fantastic evolution of their partnership. My idea for a sequel has always been to set it in New York City. Call it “N.Y. Noire” and have it take place in 1970’s Manhattan. There’s so much room there for an absolute BANGER and I think it’d perfectly suit Remedy’s creative style.

Surprisingly a lot of people seem to be unaware of Rockstar’s close, very long lasting relationship with Remedy. Rockstar is literally funding (and will eventually market) Remedy’s Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes which have been in development for a while now. Very exciting partnership.

I have a feeling that a lot of people are gonna cancel their orders once the hype wears off. I’m utterly baffled as to why Rockstar didn’t sell the Oakley sunglasses as a standalone product (like Fortnite did with their collab) and list the collectors edition for around $200 or so. Surely both sides would win with that? Oakley sells a ton of pairs and more people buy the collection. Again, if you’re happy with it then that’s awesome, but I don’t think anybody can genuinely defend the price tag from an objective standpoint. Really strange. Maybe there’s more collections coming that could be cheaper? The naming of this one kind of suggests that’s possible. We shall see.

I’m not buying it myself but if you are picking up The Goodtime State Collection then good for you, definitely don’t let any loser out there hate on you personally for it. It’s your money and you can spend it however you want. Some grown people on here will genuinely be offended by the way that other adults spend their money, it’s insane. By all means (rightfully) complain about the price / inclusion of Oakley sunglasses, but direct it at Rockstar, not at the fans.
