MiniMax H3 Max just let a developer stream infinite AI-generated Rick and Morty-style TV today. Here's what you need to know.
Rehan Sheikh hooked
fal.ai's new MiniMax H3 Max model to a Twitch livestream, calling it infinite interdimensional cable. The model generates video faster than real time, so it can produce endless new clips on the fly instead of looping pre-made footage.
H3 Max is a post-trained, speed-tuned version of MiniMax's H3 model, built for fast text to video and image to video generation at 768p, while the full H3 model reaches 2K resolution and 15 second clips with native stereo audio. Fal says H3 Max renders a 5 second clip in under 3 seconds, about 35 times the throughput of the official MiniMax H3 endpoint.
The stream drew a wave of reactions online, and Twitch reportedly suspended the channel at least once, with Sheikh later saying he was also banned from Kick. Fal is offering free H3 Max generations for both text to video and image to video, with signed-in users getting 5 free videos per day at 780p and no subscription required.
Key numbers:
- 5 second video generated in under 3 seconds
- 35x throughput vs official MiniMax H3 endpoint
- 5 free videos per day at 780p on fal
- $0.08 per second at 768p, or $4.80 per minute, 50% off for first 14 days
- Full H3 model: up to 15 seconds, up to 2K resolution, native 32kHz stereo audio
The demo went viral on X on 2026-08-29, with developers already proposing chat-voted prompts and AI reality shows built on the same tech.
