Khaldoon’s words today back up the idea that there’s still a process ongoing and that all should wait for that. Seems sensible.

If you look carefully you can see some of the original rectangular MCFC mosaic below and positioned behind that blue board (used for sponsorship). City’s ownership smashed through it to install air conditioning.

How long will we have to wait for the actual verdict? A lot getting giddy tonight but neither the PL not City are saying the verdict has been reached. Processes have to be followed and conclusions reached yet.

A quick thought… lots going on about MCFC titles going to 2nd placed club BUT wouldn’t it be more appropriate to expunge MCFC results & therefore it wouldn’t necessarily mean 2nd place awarded title. Ah well, let’s wait for actual verdict not leaks which may or may not be right.

Well said Prime Minister. Everyone I have ever met at @ManCity over years has been resolute about these charges. IF the club is guilty and is found to be so we will all still support the club we supported before the purchase.... today has been a hard day for City partly as the leak has been calculated to make it so. The silence from Etihad and PL may be far more significant than the leak. I hear no sign of panic in Manchester.

Anyone know what the ‘1’ is? We’re being told that someone’s leaked a verdict and City guilty of 114 out of 115 charges, so what’s the ‘1’? Obviously, we should wait for verdict to be formally announced but it’s intriguing - and will the PL challenge that 1!

I have been inundated with media requests to comment on the story suggesting that a decision has been made in the Manchester City case. I shan’t be commenting. There has been no official confirmation of a decision, and even if one has been made, nobody outside the process will have seen the reasons. In those circumstances, it would be inappropriate for me to comment. I’m as interested as anyone else to see what emerges, but I have nothing further to say. The story may, however, make our recent Blackstone Chambers Sports Law seminar on damages in sport even more interesting. We hope to broadcast it next week. #sportslaw
