Dumpster Diver Novel....so we were married in '74, had $3K and 2 paid off cars to our name. And certainly not because of my educational aptitude and only because I could play basketball (and softball) somehow I was hired at a CPA firm although I had no clue what I was doing, but I was an asset to their teams. I was making $825/mth and my wife was finishing up her teaching credential. We lived on a strict budget using an accordion budget folder and we used monopoly money to allocate our resources.(we used this saving method for 10+ years). In '75 we borrowed $5K from our parents to put into our savings account to convince the bank we could afford a new tract home which we bought. We lived in this house for 24 years. Good times. There was a piece of land across the golf course that a couple had purchased in '55, but never came back to build. I tried for 18 years to buy the property and finally the lady relented to me and we built the house we currently live in.....this story is like the Trump Weave...there is a point to it all so hold on. Anyway, in our first house we put a dutch door in the front for which my wife had made the stained glass panels. That door was on the house until last year when a new owner replaced it. We always take our dog for a ride and sometimes we drive by the house on our way home which, and for some unknown, but meant to be purpose, we did the other night and lo and behold out waiting for the trash is our original front door. I looked at my wife and she looked at me and without speaking we both knew instantly we just couldn't leave it there so yep, it's now sitting in our garage. Nice weave, huh?? We have no clue what we might do with it, but it was just such an important part of our early lives we just had to adopt it once again. Have a great Sunday. Peace.
