But here’s the real question: Can this squeeze turn into a sustainable trend? ① Price is moving faster than real capital. BTC gained +5.6% last week, while Realized Cap grew just +0.12%. That means roughly $1 of real capital repriced ~$66 of market cap. ② Demand improved — but only at the margin. • ETF flows turned positive on Thu & Fri • Strategy resumed buying But: • Coinbase Premium stayed negative • Stablecoin market cap fell for the 2nd straight week ③ Leverage is still doing a lot of the work. OI rose ~8%, and almost all of the Sep 18 increase came from perpetuals. So this move still looks heavily driven by momentum + short covering. ④ Now $78K matters more than ever. $85K+ was the squeeze zone. $78K is the breakout level. This week’s signal score jumped to 12 / 7 / 0 — the strongest reading in 13 weeks. ① Demand improved across the board • Spot ETFs: +$920M • DATs bought +$512M • Stablecoin supply grew for the 3rd straight week • Coinbase Premium briefly turned positive This is the clearest demand recovery we’ve seen in months. ② But sellers still aren’t showing up either The $62–65K cohort still holds ~10% of BTC supply and barely sold despite sitting on +20–30% gains. Realized profit volume is falling. CEX BTC continues to flow out. First Buyers are still buying. That’s a strong setup. ③ The problem: price is still running ahead of liquidity Stablecoin supply grew only ~0.7% over 30 days, while BTC market cap rose ~21%. And on-chain activity remains weak. ④ $78K is still the key battle It remains a major resistance confluence. Break it cleanly → $80–82K comes back into play.
