Something worth understanding about how the index actually operates.
Once a day at 12:00 UTC, the index values its holdings, pulls fresh rankings, and compares actual allocations against targets. Coins that have drifted above target get trimmed, coins below target get topped up using available WETH.
If that daily run can't finish in one transaction, whether from sale caps, deferred trades, or new-token checks, it continues in hourly follow-ups until the work is done. Once complete, the basket is fully aligned with the day's targets, and it holds steady there until the next 12:00 UTC review resets the process.
There's also a built-in limit: no more than 0.05% of any token's total supply can be sold per hour, checked against live on-chain supply before the transaction signs.
It's an operator rule, not a smart contract restriction, but it keeps every adjustment measured rather than aggressive.
