I’ve been using high-dose (10-12 gm/day) creatine for about two years now, and I recommend creatine to nearly all my family office clients. It has a proven track record of safety, the benefits are solid, and it may even enhance cognitive performance
This new creatine study is insane. People who never trained took 10g of creatine a day and gained more lean tissue (2.43 lbs) than people who were lifting 3x a week with no creatine (0.31 lbs). Here's the breakdown: (1/18)
Community note
The 2.43 lb was DXA “lean mass,” not 2.43 lb of muscle. Creatine increases intracellular water, which DXA counts as lean tissue. The study didn’t measure hypertrophy, and exercise vs no-exercise wasn’t randomized. Does not show creatine beats lifting. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Eat your veggies!
860,000 preventable deaths every year. Not from smoking. Not from “obesity.” From not eating enough vegetables. A 2026 global analysis found that staying under ~300–370 g of vegetables a day accounts for more than 20 million healthy years lost worldwide, most of them from heart attacks and strokes. The biology is straightforward: Vegetable nitrates and antioxidants fuel nitric oxide, which keeps blood vessels elastic and blood pressure regulated. You don’t need a kitchen overhaul to change things: Target 300–350 g (two to three fist-sized servings) of vegetables daily. · Crown whatever you’re already eating: a cup of baby spinach in pasta, curry, or eggs · Swap chips for sliced peppers, cucumbers, or radishes + hummus · Keep frozen mixed vegetables on standby for 10-minute stir-fries or sheet-pan dinners · Volume from real vegetables protects your arteries better than any pill stack. What’s the biggest thing that keeps vegetables off your plate on busy days?

The world is growing more fragmented and precarious. Consider these recent, dangerous dilemmas: 🔥 Violent student protests in France. Support them, crush them, or wait it out? 🤖 The rise of super-intelligent AGI. Encourage rapid growth or slow it down? 🖥️ The AI trade dominating the American stock market. Lean in or hedge? 🪖 The Iran war. Strike a deal, restart kinetic activity, or pursue economic strangulation? 🧵

I enjoyed yesterday's WSJ piece about the billionaire Kirsh Family Office. They're taking applications now for financial advisors, etc. More wealthy entrepreneurs, young and old, are starting single-family offices (SFOs). Unfortunately, the WSJ piece only hints at the real and enduring value of family offices, and it ain't money management. The best SFOs take a one-stop shop approach. Modern holistic single-family offices are lifestyle managers: 🛫 Travel 💊 Health & Wellness 🏠 Household Management ⏳ Longevity 🏔️ Fun & Adventure 🌴 Retirement Planning If SFOs exclusively focus on money and taxes, you're leaving value on the table. - Gregory Charlop, MD, DipABLM Family office Chief Wellness Officer (CWO) wsj.com/finance/investing/th…

I’m about 40% of the way through Andrew Huberman‘s new book. What do you all think of it so far? My early impressions are that while I agree with much of his advice, he makes recommendations that are more specific than the evidence supports

The truth is, having industrial and business leaders take the helm of these initiatives appears to be a good call. Case in point, Russia. When they changed their military leadership structure to add business expertise, their performance on the battlefield improved
