So 20% of game sales on consoles were physical. Or 1 in 5. That’s still a large part of the market,

I completed Chapter II in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. Some of those battles were the most intense that I've ever experienced in a Fire Emblem game.

60+ Hours into Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave. Here’s a thread with helpful tips 🧵 1) In Part 1 you don’t need to recruit more than 14 total units. I would recommend 15-16. In Part 2 you can’t recruit more units, so make sure you have a good mix of melee, healer, mages, and cavalry
14

15) Play on Causal and don’t be afraid to loose 1-2 units in tougher battles. Some of the later battles in Part 2 and 3 are designed with no easy ways to save everyone. Dont force yourself to save everyone during a long battle, just play on Casual and finish the fight.

14) The game gives you mechanisms that make repeating Part 1 or 2 with different characters much faster. If you’re on your first playthrough, know that future playthroughs can be streamlined
6
13) Don’t skip Temple duties! Keeping all your temple blessings to Lvl 3 (which also carries over between different routes), will give you a lot more options in Part 2 and Part 3 when battles get really tough.
6
12) Most team compositions are viable but a few units types are OP! Chariots are by far the best archer class w/ their charge ability. Make sure you always pair your Flame Lord with a healer so they can spam their Blaze arts. Any classes with the Gauntlets become Dodge masters.
9
11) When doing Cai’s route lean in HEAVILY into his special mechanic with mounts. The game doesn’t tell you this but mounts give you extra % growth bonuses and abilities by raising bonds with them. There are some great guides on YT like this youtu.be/GtVhvSW6Q3o?is=1r51…
17
10) An easy way to lvl up in Part 1 is to go into dungeons that’s are 5-10 lvls higher than your team. Use link attacks and heal (by having a feast) in between battles and you can easily lvl 2-3 times with a few fights, even if you don’t clear the dungeon of enemies it’s worth it
8
9) FW does not explain this, but you should NEVER equip items (shields, rings, etc) All items come with a “weight”, and the more weight you have the slower your attack speed (AS) will be. Higher AS means more 2x attacks, so every item you equip lowers you chance to 2x by a lot.
7
8) Use a guide and do as many Perfect Bird Times for your main characters as you can. It’s a silly mechanic but having a Lvl 5 bond with your main protagonist is super helpful. I’ve been using Polygons guide here: polygon.com/fire-emblem-fort…
32
7) In Part 1, anytime you are doing auto-activities, ALWAYS do “search”. Money and items are way more valuable early game, and there will be easy ways to level up training or experience later in the game. Search will save you way more time than “training” or “combat”
6
6) To maximize your time exploring the map only trains / do weekly activities in Dagsion on the weekend. Since the new week starts on Sundays, you can be in Dagsion Sat and Sun, and then explore the world for 12.5 days until you need to be back without missing a week.
7
5) In Part 1, you don’t really need more than 6-7 strong units. It’s only near the end of Part 1 that you need 10 units and then when you jump to Part 2 you’ll need 14. The game gives you a way to easily lvl units weaker units in Part 2, so just focus on leveling up your core 6.
14
4) When recruiting, always propritize Bond level 1 and 2 recruits, target these folks first. Then you can focus on 4-8 bond level 3 recruits. Using the restart chapter exploit you should be able to build your roster fast.
12
3) Don’t waste your time with gifting items for bond levels. It’s tedious and slow. Use meals and other activities instead. Always make sure every participant has a star ⭐️ to indicate meals or activities they like. This will give you a “perfect”, which boost lvls fast.
