This is a hard post to write.
About four years ago, I joined Zerpmon as a moderator. I had no idea that it would turn into a full time role with Gen3, working in marketing and business development across products that I truly believed could help bring more people into the XRP Ledger. I came into XRPL as a community member, and launched one of the very first NFT projects on the XRPL.
Gen3 gave me some of the best opportunities of my life.
I attended events in the United States and Asia. I spent time living with my family in Thailand and The Philippines. I met builders and friends i now consider family from all over the world, made real friendships, and had more calls, late nights, pitch meetings, community conversations, and X Spaces than I could count.
I am incredibly thankful to the entire Gen3 team for believing in me and giving me that opportunity.
From the business development and marketing side, I had a front row seat to both the potential of XRPL and the challenges facing it.
I spoke with founders who wanted to build here. I spoke with communities looking for new things to rally around. I spoke with partners, investors, and people at events who were curious about XRP but needed a reason to become active users.
Aigent was built around the belief that AI agents could give people new ways to interact with the ledger.
Axiom was built around the belief that a prediction market could be a simple, engaging entry point for new retail users.
We did not build these things because they were easy. We built them because we thought they could create a new path into XRPL for people who were not already deeply involved.
We got some traction. We had people use the products, give feedback, join the conversations, and believe in the vision. But ultimately, it was not enough to sustain the type of business and team required to keep pushing forward.
Building for retail on XRPL is hard. Not because there is no talent here. There is plenty of it. Not because the technology has no potential. I still believe deeply in the technology.
You need users, liquidity, attention, capital, partnerships, and a way to keep momentum going long enough for a product to find its footing. When those things are missing, even a passionate team that is actively shipping can only carry the weight for so long.
I have seen a lot of projects and founders come to XRPL excited about what they could build, then slowly realize how difficult it is to find the support needed to keep building. A few teams have found a way through, and I have nothing but respect for them.
I do not want this to turn into finger pointing. I do not think that helps anyone, and I know no one is owed funding or success. But I do think we can do better for the next group of builders..
More visibility for teams from Ripple that are shipping. More introductions to potential partners and investors. Better paths to funding. More shared focus on bringing in retail users and making it easier for them to stay. More support between communities instead of everyone staying in separate lanes.
A simple repost, introduction, collaboration, or conversation at the right time can matter more than people realize.
I was recently honored with a speaker role at Swell 2026 this October. The topic was meant to be Axiom, prediction markets, and the opportunity to grow XRPL through new retail use cases. With Axiom now paused, I am still figuring out whether I will attend. But being offered that opportunity reminded me that the work did matter, even if it did not reach the outcome we hoped for.
I will still be around. We will keep supporting the XRP Ledger through our dUNL and the work behind the scenes that helps keep the network moving forward.
I am proud of what we tried to build. I am grateful for everyone who gave their time, feedback, support, and belief to these products.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
It is with heavy hearts that we've unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to spin down
@aigentdotrun and
@AxiomProtocol_ due to a lack of user demand and increasing infrastructure costs.
We will keep the platforms running for one more month until 13/09/2026, in order for users to have ample time to take out any funds left on the platforms.
Gen3 will continue to operate our core XRPL network infrastructure and participate in the technical evolution of the ledger through the amendment process but will no longer be prioritising building retail-focused platforms.
We really appreciate all the support the community has shown us on our platforms over the last 5 years building on the XRPL.
