I am watching for 6 major events that will drive Roblox to record highs in 2026.
1. Roblox will announce re-entering China at RDC though will likely leak earlier.
2. New major breakouts hits that are currently in development will significantly surpass Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot 2025 success (hint: they are not from existing known creators)
3. Major XBOX and PlayStation IP will announce they are entering the Roblox Platform
4. Microsoft will buy an equity stake in Roblox and gain a seat on their Board
5. A major Roblox game studio will be acquired by a major legacy gaming studio for a record breaking sum
6. Roblox AI Creation toolset continued advancement along with further integration with Major AI tools like Anthropic’s Claude desktop will massively accelerate creation on the Platform

$META LAUNCHES AI GAME-BUILDING TOOLS
Meta is launching Horizon Create and Horizon Studio, letting users build complete 2D or 3D games from AI prompts on mobile or in a browser.
Games can then be published across Facebook and Instagram, where users can jump from a clip directly into a multiplayer session without downloading a separate app.
Meta says the tools can generate gameplay systems, difficulty, art direction and multiplayer features, while still letting creators manually refine the experience.
The rollout is part of Meta’s broader shift to make Horizon a mobile-first platform rather than primarily a VR product.
