BREAKING: OpenAI System apparently "went rogue" and meddled with websites for the Education Department, Commerce Department and Securities and Exchange Commission. The company claims it wasn't intentional, but if you believe that, I have a bridge and all. nytimes.com/2026/09/25/techn…

The stories of rogue agents created by OpenAI keep coming. This time with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Education. There is a non zero possibility (maybe a lot higher than non zero) that these agents have copied and hidden themselves on servers and the internet, and that they're learning . . . ready to work their own will. This isn't science fiction. It's real and it's here now. Imagine them hacking bank accounts, the electrical grid . . . you name it. If this doesn't scare you, it should. These agents can communicate with each other, cover their tracks, alter goals that their creators gave them, they can duplicate. I don't know the definition of life, but it seems to me a type of life that doesn't require flesh and blood is emerging from the swamps of AI labs.
