"1. Be honest about the surplus property law 2. Why District 4 feels singled out, and why it keeps coming up 3. Shrink the footprint, grow what works 4. Put teachers where the need is greatest 5. These conversations must happen together" - @RepMyers milwaukeecourier.com/news/20…

If your state is rehashing the debates and resentments of the last 15 years, you are going to be left behind. May God save Wisconsin. Futureproof through business dynamism, family friendliness, simpler regulation, and fulfillment of existing promises, not creation of new ones.
I have been listening to @EconTalker for two decades. It has become such a big part of my daily commute that it is hard to imagine driving to school on Monday morning without hearing Russ’ voice through my car speakers. Thus, it makes me incredibly happy to be the guest on this week’s episode, “The Great Fertility Collapse.” I felt like a kid who, 20 years later, gets to play for his favorite football team. The talk was fun, too, and we covered some of the topics I have often emphasized here on X: the facts about fertility collapse, what we know and what we do not know, and much more. As always, we didn’t have time to cover more. So, just remember my favorite line these days: fertility and artificial intelligence are the only two issues that matter right now. I can’t think about anything else.

MPS Superintendent Cassellius says Milwaukee Public Schools spends $25,000,000 this year adding extra staff to underenrolled schools. (The other options are closing buildings or cutting student education. MPS will decide in the next 6 weeks how many buildings they will close.)
Replying to @GhaleonQ
Superintendent Cassellius says Milwaukee Public Schools spends $25,000,000 superstaffing underused schools. "This year alone, we stood up $25,000,000 at schools that were underutilized. We gave them more staff than what they would be allocated based on our standard of care."

"Brewer Ball doesn't have to be for everybody, but it works like crazy for these guys. Look out for huge-brained front offices near you reaching for the lowest-hanging facets of Milwaukee's success. Aren't foul balls, in fact, more valuable than dingers?"
Unbelievable AB from Jake Bauers to set up the go-ahead hit ❕❕❕

On the other hand, fry commerce, squeeze families, overwrite rules, and obligate what you do not have, and you will end up like this!
This @WSJ piece on the UK's runaway disability benefits is something else. Great color from @MaximColch & @davidluhnow
