LPVO on a PCC. Dumbest idea ever, or ahead of its time?
This is Guardian 1-6x with 0.25 MOA per click in the turrets, super bright fiber optic illumination in red or green, and yours for just three beans. It's SO good.
Primary EDC and secondary backup gun. Do you A: use the new hotness with an Omega on the @WaltherArms PDP Compact and Pebble E on the @SmithandWessonC Bodyguard 2.0? Or B: Keep it old school with the @Beretta_USA 92FS and Smith J-frame .38?
The problem with all FFP LPVOs is the same, the reticle disappears at 1x and you have to crank illumination up to max and hope you can see the middle point of aim. Guardian 1-8x FFP can be used quickly at close range, at 1x magnification, without using illumination at all.
Now on the Gideon Optics YouTube, did the @DeryaArms Island Port perform any better after re-texturing the grip, or did I ruin it? How does it stack up against a classic Hi Power in a 7 yard Bill Drill? Grab a cold one and go check it out!
With the @Deryaarms_US re-texturing done I put it up against my @tisasarmsusa L9A1 Hi Power in a battle of 7 yard bill drills.
Wow that was super not fair. One of these guns utterly crushed the other one. But which way did it go? Any guesses?
Is the Guardian LR 5-25x big and heavy? Yeah. Did it feel like I could lob a rock overhand and hit this B8 target because it's right in front of me, totally sharp? Also yeah. But it's 265 meters away, almost 300 yards. Go ahead, use the reticle to range it. The B8 is 53cm wide.
Have you seen our latest YouTube on how to find the dot FAST? It's fun to run the tiny Pebble E / Bodyguard 2.0 combo and be faster than the other guys running iron sights on full size service pistols. But you'll need some mindful practice first...
Ok. You can configure one rifle to go back in time and help General Washington and the colonial militia in their first battles against the redcoats. It can be totally practical, just A Vibe, or a mix of both. I'll go first, here's my mix-- musket + Guardian LR 5-25x + Omega.
I was digging in my phone looking for something else when I came across this pic from early 2023. Not even four years ago, Gideon Omega was still in prototype stage-- you can tell this is a proof of concept prototype with no real styling applied to the scope body yet.
You look through the upcoming 2-10x44 FFP Gideon and you see this. Your reaction is:
A. Sweet, I know just what to do!
B. I don't need all this crap, just give me a cross hair and I'll start making noise sooner.
C. I don't know what it's all for but I want to learn please.
Mike here. Attempted my first 9/11 tribute on the stair machine today. You gotta go 2,017 steps without stopping. The firefighters in the Twin Towers did it in full call-out gear, helmets, axes, fire hoses. In a Gideon tee and shorts it took me 47 minutes 16 seconds.
It's our privilege to bring you Gideon Optics. It's super important to me to support 2nd Amendment rights. Yet I'm so soft and spoiled, it was hard for me to really contemplate climbing over 100 flights of stairs on the last day of my life, because that is what duty demanded.
If you can, you should go do it. Your time to beat is 47 minutes, don't let the overweight 50 year old guy beat you. Go do it, and reflect on what words like "right", "duty", and "honor" really mean.
Next YouTube video will be about finding the dot as quickly as possible, even when using a smaller window on a tiny gun, like Pebble E on BG2.0. I know you always find the dot immediately, of course! But maybe you can show it to a friend? Coming soon!
