I like the concept of Arthur treating the toons as animals in ways. He understands they feel nd live which is why he's against Delilah getting rid of Gourdys parents but he's reckless in their mental health because he doesnt recognize that they have limits and arent props to work

I think of it in the way people will overexert working animals like donkeys (in concept) by like making them carry loads and then showing their disappointment when the animal eventually is too exhausted to do such. Silly example but ykyk

I'm thinking heavily about Bobette but that's just to say Arthur's like really involved with her lool but my idea still spreads in all. Dandy is his prize poodle and that's to say I assume Arthur overestimated what Dandy was able to do as THE main guy.

That's also to say this is a mindset but he still knows that the toons are living creatures with emotion and personality his way of thinking is just incredibly flawed. It comes down to the fact the toons are artificial and it's major to his mindset.

I believe it's major because it gives him a highground of viewing them as less than human because objectively they are in the sense that they're cartoon characters come to life with ichor. After that it's easier to dehumanize them in his head and justify the things he encourages

He still communicates and treats them well enough though. He's outwardly kind, kinder than Delilah but he's still a business man who focuses on Gardenviews performance. He still does this stuff regardless
