What Craftsmanship looked like 1,000 years ago.

Imagine drinking water from the same ancient spring that filled a Roman fountain 1,800 years ago. More people need to know about the incredible Antonine Fountain in Sagalassos, Türkiye. Built between 160-180 CE, this massive marble fountain sits 5,200 feet above sea level in the Taurus Mountains. Its glory came to a violent end around -🧵/1

📷 mouse just popped down to manor Lodge for a little drink between meals . The little water barrel is topped up daily and if their favourite spot for a cold drink .

This very little mouse has a real sweet tooth and as the others eat nuts seeds or apples . This little one is always by the black berries .

🔱 Sunset on the East Coast Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, began as a humble fishing settlement in 1811 when six families were granted land along the rugged St. Margaret’s Bay. Early cartographers and residents referred to it as Margaret’s Cove and over time, the locals shortened the name using the common nickname for Margaret- and eventually, it officially evolved into Peggy’s Cove. Life was defined by the unforgiving Atlantic, raw resilience, and a tight-knit community. By 1868, the iconic village saw its first wooden lighthouse erected to guide fishermen safely home through treacherous coastal waters and dense Canadian maritimes fog. The turning point came in 1915 with the construction of the iconic Peggy’s Point Lighthouse - the durable white-and-red octagonal concrete structure that stands today as a global symbol of Atlantic Canada. In the mid-20th century, the village transformed from a working fishery into a site for artists like William deGarthe, capturing the imagination of travelers worldwide.
